For the DARPA-END project, we require a low-power, high-performance Linux cluster to perform data acquisition and monitoring. The cluster will be extremely remote, with limited access. This critical mission requires very high reliability, sophisticated monitoring, and operation under unique constraints. To meet these demanding requirements, we require a person with the necessary skills and experience to assist us, working part-time for a fixed term of about 1 year. This person must be a top-level expert in the design, specification, implementation, development, and operation of high-performance data acquisition clusters, including networking and storage. Responsibilities will cover planning, building, and analyzing the cluster's integrity and performance, including security, capacity, and logistics. This person will provide ultimate direction for this important aspect of the project and ensure that the system meets our performance requirements.
