The UCLA spectrometer was removed from the beamline (along with the lead bricks), the chamber was disconnected from the beamline and work on the plasma source, OTR screen + alignement was performed. Final alignement should happen this coming Monday. - In parallel the optics for streaking the UV light was modified, and preliminary alignement with the HeNe was done. The modifications were required to allow both the ability to streak the UV and the OTR light coming from UCLA experiement - The UV remotely controllable iris was installed [Jamie] in the object plane (on the laser table) having for image the cathode. - The rebuilt 200 kW klystron was put on-line, but due to outgassing of the cathode, the klystron was never operated to decent filament current. Off line conditioning will have to be done, and once performed we will put back the rebuilt klystron in the system for full tests [J. Reid] - Visitors from UIUC (G. Gollin + students) came to learn about the BPM system and discuss the installation of the kicker experiment foreseen as soon as UCLA experiment is done.
