-Monday:    - North cave is running. 
            - work on laser [Rodion]
            - install lead shield around all CCD [Jamie]

* Achievements of last week:

- Monday:
        -  laser down due to chiller problem
	-  in parallel to chiller repair activities, the 
	   interlock group installed an interlock on the rf switch 
           that will enable the operation of north cave (polarized 
           rf-gun) without having to lock the south cave (A0 bunker)
           
- Tuesday: 
        -  start-up injector, tried to do some measurement 
           on longitudinal dynamics with the probe/witness 
           pulses, the oscillator was very unstable and the 
           data taken are poor quality [Rodion, Adrian, Philippe]
           
- Wednesday: 
        -  took some more data on 9-cell T-matrix -- part of 
           the shift we had problem with beam beam jitter due 
           to oscillator still unstable [Philippe/Yin-E]
           
- Thursday: 
        -  CTR bunch length and streak camera measurements 
           [Daniel, Nick]
        -  afternoon: Plasma [Matt et al.]: beam was transported in the 
           new beamline (bigger diameter pipe + stronger quads). 
           However the charge transmission up to the plasma chamber is 
           poor ~50-60%. This is believe to be due to scattering in the 
           aluminum window. 

- Friday
        -  Work started Thursday afternoon continued, but was then 
           interrupted due to a chiller problem that prevented 
           operation of the two-pass laser amplifier

* Tasks concerning hardware 

H8/ calibration of upstream directional coupler and 
    insulator (Markus need to speak to Tim and with Kai to  
    schedule this STATUS?)
H11/ Some of the toroid need cabling to have signal available 
     out of the cave in the rack area
     (JAMIE, STATUS?)
H13/ Pulse stacker, what do we do? (Rodion)
H14/ air coil steerers, Kai will gather all the paper he has 
     and we will decide whether we can give this project to one of 
     the NIU engineering student
     (Kai, STATUS: nobody at NIU picked up this project...)
H20/ what shall we do with the burnt doubling crystal? Who will 
     specify + order it?  CRYSTALS REPLACED APRIL 2ND         
H21/ the laser uniformity problem can this be due to the new (since 
     late summer) tight focusing in the doubling crystal area to 
     improve conversion efficiency?                             
H23/ laser spare components list
